Obviously how can we forget our "Festivals"...lots of fun and entertainment. Gifts,Sweets, delicious dishes and whole day of njoiment. Diwali, Holi, Rakhi, Uttarayan, Navratri....each & every festival is unique of its kind and full of Josh and utsaah...yahan par sab kuchh kitna shaant aur khamosh hota hai...halloween, thanxgvng & even christmas.But yes, we did lighted 'Diyas' on Diwali over here keeping up with Indian tradition...par I missed Anar, jalebi, pencil and fuljhadi. Hope this Holi turns out to be somewhat better.

Ya... must admit... this is one of the things that can't be compensated for in US. I especially miss the Dhuleti... when my friends and I used to start roaming around Ahmedabad from one friends place to another.. with dish bangers sitting on the back seats of scooters and bikes... creating chaos with "Holi Hai" shouts... bathing with huge garden hoses... gulal... awww.. I miss it so much... Just hoping that this Maitri Holi comes close to that
